- Whenever you are trouble shooting a telephone entry system product, it is extremely helpful if you have a telephone test set with you to perform various checks on the phone line(s) and entry system itself. A telephone test set will save you time when isolating problems. Telephone test sets are available from many sources and are also available from DoorKing. You should also have a good quality VOM meter to test various voltages and continuity checks.
If you are trouble shooting a gate operating system and you suspect a problem with the inductive loops, it is extremely helpful to have a Meg Ohm meter to check the integrity of the ground loop itself. Replacing loop
detectors will not solve loop problems if the loop itself has a problem. Meg Ohm meters are available from DoorKing. |
